Return of the Om Nom!

It's been forever since I made one of these! Mom and I found this recipe on Pinterest (And here and here)! And OMG! Is it so good.

Round up:
-2 cans crescent rolls
-2 (8oz) packages cream cheese
-1 cup sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1/4 cup butter (melted)
-Cinnamon & sugar
-1 egg (BEATEN LIKE THE LITTLE CHEAT IT IS)
-A bowl
-9x13 pan
-a skillet
-Bananas (1 'Naner per person)
-rum/rum extract (As much as you want)
- Handful Pecans/walnuts
-Caramel/honey

Go and pre-heat the oven to 350`F.  Grab the crescent rolls. Take one can, and pop it open, and spread it out on the bottom of the pan. Take the bowl and put the cream cheese in it. Microwave it for like 45 seconds so it become soft. I have no patience to let it get soft, so. Sue me.  Add the sugar and vanilla and egg. And don't kid yourself, add a little more vanilla. I did. No regrets. Now, mix it baby! Mine turned out a little lumpy, so don't worry.  Put the mixture on top of the lonely bottom crescent rolls.  Then take the other can of other crescents and put it on top of the mixture.

Take the butter, and microwave it so it melts. Spread it on top of the top crescents. Add some cinnamon and sugar.  Hell yeah.

Pop that mother in the oven, and 25-35 minutes. Every oven is different. Just like us. Love your oven.

While that is baking, take your Bananas and chop them up. Turn on the stove, place the skillet on it. Add a handful of nuts. Swirl it around. Then add the rum stuff. Make sure it's nice and fried.

 Ooohhh yeah.

Place it in the bowl, and add the rum Nanners, and add some caramel or honey on top.  That's what I'm talkin' about.

YUM!
;D

Mole-ass-is cookies.

I really wanted to do this yesterday, but work got in the way. And I know I haven't done an On Nom Mon in a really long time.  So, I'm sorry for this being a little late!

Anywho, my favorite cookie is the Molasses kind. I like weird things. Well, I suppose they are not that weird, but I like 'em strong.

Kinda going by this recipe here . I added a few things. What you need:

  • 3/4 cup margarine, melted ( That's 12 tbsp.)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 bag chocolate chip

In a  bowl, mix together the melted margarine, 1 cup sugar, and egg until smooth. Stir in the molasses. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, spices; Then add chocolate chips.  Mix it all together. Cover, and chill for 1 hour.

When you bring it from being chilled, you do what I call 'dough bowling'. Make a mixture of sugar and salt. It makes a nice salty sweet thing going on. Roll dough into balls, or use a cookie scooper. Mom got me one after this because I was making a special batch of ones with chocolate chips and raisins. Then roll the dough around in the sugar/salt.

Grease pan, plop the balls onto the cookie sheet.

Bake at 375*F for about 10 minutes. Or until they look done. They are a little bit of a crisper cookie.

Dip 'em in coffee, that is what Melia does. Matter of fact, I made them because of her. I plan on  making some hot chocolate. They kinda remind me of ginger snaps.

ENJOY!

Quick Turkey Dinner!

We had this little butterball turkey breast left over from Thanksgiving. It looked like a huge turkey egg. Lol. We froze it, and said we will use it for later. Well! We did!

I give you this Quick Turkey Dinner!

All it is is Mashed Potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, turkey, gravy, then top it off with Cranberries!

One tip for you guys, is that if your turkey comes with a packet of gravy, cook it with the turkey! It makes the turkey soo much better!!

It was a nice hearty, quick meal for winter. :)!

Enjoy!

Epic Pancakes!!

So, I never liked bacon until Dave showed me Epic Meal Time. Something just clicked. I even want to try and make candy bacon!! I always had Turkey Bacon. Turkey Bacon is still good, but Bacon is still better. I like it with sweets, actually. So, I saw this idea on Pinterest ( which I am now addicted too... Thanks Mom!)

Bacon in PANCAKES!!

I used left over bacon that we had BLTs from the night before. I microwaved them so they are a little warm. About 1 minute or so. Then I put them on the griddle. I cheated and used pre-made pancake mix. I was feeling lazy.

I laid the bacon down, and poured the mix on top!!

The. I waited for it to bubble and what not then flipped em.

They are a wee bit harder to flip.

They are sooo good though! I used blueberry pancake mix. I think it would be good to use chocolate mix, or something sweet. I like the whole salty sweet thing! Or maybe my Awesomecakes!

Pancakes are just good!

So, I hope you enjoyed my idea. :). Happy breakfast!

P.s: daily does of cute:

Om Nom Monday!

Hello! :D

So, after much though, Foodie Friday sacked. So, I give you:

Today we are making my friend Melia's Mom's Rice Casserole! I never got to meet Cathy, but she was an amazing person, and I am honored to have one of her recipes! Thanks Melia for it! She had made it for me while I was on Flint staying with her. I fell in love. We had it with venison. I also made a double batch, and forgot to add the mushrooms. I wrote the recipe with out them, but you can add canned mushrooms! :D

So Here we go!

You need:
  • 1 lb Hamburger or venison
  • 1 can LaChoy Fancy mixed vegetables (if you can't find them, you can use one can of bamboo shoots and 1 can of bean sprouts)
  • 1 large or 2 small cans Campbell's cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 cup of minute rice

Alright. Grab a large Pot. Start cookin' that meat.
I'd also drain the fat. I wouldn't rinse it ( Don't laugh, my mom rinses her meat...)

Alright. So Then add everything BUT THE RICE! So, The veggies, water, and soup! to the meat.

Looks a little soupy right, that's ok.

Then, when it starts to boil add the 2 cups of rice! Wait for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is soft. This may take longer or shorter depending.
Then you'll get something like this:
:D Looks good! And it is! Add Soy Sauce. I use Braggs Liquid Aminos. Use a little spice. I use Ms. Dash, Melia likes Nature's Seasoning.

Here the card:

It's Harry Potter weekend! So, with that said Today's FF is brought to you by:

So.
Preheat oven to 425*F ( about 22*C)

Here's what you need:

  • Milk
  • Butter
  • 3 eggs
  • flour
  • salf
  • 1/2 cup measuring cup
  • bowl
  • spoon
  • fork
  • muffin tin

Take the bowl, but 1 1/2 cups( 3 things of the 1/2 measuring cup...I'm weird)  of flour, with a dash of salt in the bowl
Like so:

Add 1 1/2 cups of Milk then the eggs.

Grab a fork:

poke the eggs: (easier to mix with, I think.)

Start stirring, baby! Woot!

Don't over mix. Mix for 2 minutes, and no more then that.

Get it to a heavy cream constancy.

Take your muffin tin, and put about a teaspoon of butter in each muffin cup:

Then melt it in the oven:

Pour it in. I say to where it's almost full. Almost!!

Put it in the oven:

This is the hard part! Don't peak until you think it's done. Leave it in for 20-25 minutes.

Foodie Friday! :D

Hello Everyone.

I am going to *try* to do this thing called Foodie Friday. I am not a cook. Or a domestics person in general. Doesn't mean I can't try to learn. So, reader, off to the land undiscovered, to the land of good cooking?

I am going to start off with something I learned is amazingly simple. I love pancakes, who doesn’t? They’re good for anything. Making a breakfast sandwiches, bad days, good days, or just good because. They’re a favorite. I personally like to make them when I am mad. They clear the mind when making them. I also think I’m going to be the type of wife who will bake when pissed. Favorite pie hot of the oven when you get home, yous be in deep shit.

I was growing tired of regular pancakes from a box. Bman( Little Bro) was out for the summer. We wanted pancakes. We didn’t have the mix. So, I went on online and searched, like any good person my age would. I came up with a few different things. I decided to take bits and pieces, and make my own. So, here I give you:

My AwesomeHotCakes.

1 ½ cups of Flour
3 ½ teaspoons of baking powder (Mari's got some good reads :))
Dash of salt
1 ¼ cups of milk
1 egg
Cinnamon to taste ( I like a lot…)

In your bowl, put all dry ingredients in, then wet.
Mix together with Whisk. cake1

Mix can be a little lumpy. Scoop mix onto a hot pan or griddle.cake3

Wait until top side is bubbly then flip!

There you have it. Nice pancakes for a good morning. Make a whole batch and save for later. That’s what I do.  And I’m just starting on the recipe card things. If you have any hints for me, that would be awesome .

NOW GO EAT SOME PANCAKES.
Or panicakes if you’re my Grandma…
